Frequently Asked Questions
Do we require a referral?
In most cases we ask a referral of latest progress not from the Family Doctor to help focus the appointment on mental health.

Do we treat ADHD in adults?
This is done on a case by case basis and short acting stimulants are not used in any ages

Do we treat opioid use disorder?
Yes including with Suboxone and other modalities

What ages do we treat?
We evaluate any age though it is dependent on the consultation if medication are recommended.

Do we offer therapy in our office?
We do not currently have therapist in out office.

Do we offer Ketamine or Spravato(Esketamine)?
Yes we do offer this service.

Do we offer Transmagnetic Cranial Stimulation (TMS)?
Yes we offer this for both depression and obsessive compulsive disorder.

What are the follow up expectations?
This is dependent on each case but with controlled substances due to government regulations no longer than three month follow up must be insisted on. Children tend to change in short amounts of time and we also recommend children follow up frequently to monitor growth and be available for any changes and to avoid any confusion in between lengthy gaps in appointments.

Is there any mental illness we don't treat?
There are no diagnoses we do not treat. Sometimes if necessary people need a higher level of care than private practice or the relationship is not therapeutic making safe medicine tenuous or impossible.

Who are the practitioners?
Dr. Peter Seiler is a board certified psychiatrist who sees all illnesses and Dr. Emily Seiler is a board certified DNP who also see all illnesses. Dr. Fletcher tends to specialize in addiction medicine and if needed works closely with us if other care is needed.

What is availability like?
Wait times are relatively short. Longer for initial appointments and less for follow ups. Once care is established it is not difficult to get timely care.

How is communication done in between appointments?
Our office accepts phone calls, voicemails and even text messages. Text messages can often be the fastest way to get a response and all communication in between appointments is done through staff not through providers directly.

Do you have students?
Dr. Seiler nearly always has multiple students and at times the other doctors may have students. It is important that we give back and train future generations as psychiatric availability is already sparse.

What types of behavior can result in discharge from the practice?
Typically this is some form of deception making it impossible to provide safe care. It can be from frequent no shows going beyond what our policy allows or discourteous behavior which is never tolerated. Unlike in some organizations private practice makes its own ethical decisions on discharge. The ethical guideline is as such: VI. A physician shall, in the provision of appropriate patient care, except in emergencies, be free to choose whom to serve, with whom to associate, and the environment in which to provide medical care.
